Full Page Ads Vs Farming By Mailings

In keeping things at a budget, if you had to choose between mailing out to let's say like 500 folks or putting in a full page ad in a newspaper...what would you choose?  I will be interested in what you guys have to say. Let me know what you think about that, thanks!

Referral Network Experiences

I am interested in knowing about those who do just referral work as a realtor.  Do you do referral work to other agents? Why or why not?  Also for those of you that do referral work (referring customers to agents) how is your business coming along?  Do you have any particular stragies in your referral networking?  Some agents you refer to may not do anything with your referal so if that happens then I choose another agent to work with.  

So Just How much do you spend monthly on your business?

This will be a great topic of my interest.  I am wondering what the "average realtor" spends on his or her Real estate business each month.  I will look at the results and make a determination of the average.  Please be realistic and truthful if you can because I bet others will be coming back to this blog to see the results, thanks everyone!!

 

Computers Drive Me Crazy Sometimes...How About You?

I never knew configuring email could be so much work...whew...well I just installed the new 2007 Outlook for email and man is it tough to set up or is it just me? I am trying to get it to work with my email address: " exityourhome@movewithtom.com " but I have not had any sucess yet...I guess I will finish reading the set up info tommorrow but maybe one of you guys could just give me the " meat and the potatoes" portion of it...Lol...well anyway thanks for your time.  I just configured the sending but not the recieving part...well I can read email online but would rather read it in the Outlook...maybe I am just being picky!

 

Email Like A Pro

Just a quick survey and a good way for you to add some points to your account balance.  What is your favorite Email software or company that you use to promote your service online.  I personally like my Outlook emailer (with my special built in bulk email) I did think about using something like Constant Contact for emailing but in the end my investment on my Outlook add-in will pay off...So Just A Curiousity Survey...What do you use for your emailing ??  THANKS EVERYONE AND HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

 

So what happens when...

Here We Go Again...

The customer is always right , right? Let's say you contact a potential homebuyer who called in the free recorded info line and you go through your questions and everything seems well , so you get their email address and info.  You email them properties and then they say you spam them.  Or Have you ever had a customer give you their email on the phone and just moments later you email them and it bounces back as invalid!! After you read it back and doublechecked it...gee well anyway I generally try to email all customers twice a week and call them once a week as well to follow up.  Once I had a female in my database who was very upset that I emailed her and so I replied back by removing her from my email contacts...well I couldnt seem to understand why she kept writing me saying she was getting email all the time....when I looked in my book, I saw I documented that I removed her already. So I seach through every single contact just to make her happy (time consuming) but it turns out I had her name in my program as "DR. so and so" ...WOW! I couldn't believe it...well it turns out I mistakenly put her in twice because she registered twice... I had 1 name with no prefix DR and the other with it....whew what a time waster that was!!  So have you ever had something like that happen to you or ever get the real EVIL Threats...I am sure we all get them.  Let me know your experiences and also do you have a particular "Unsubsribe" system that works well for you...Let me know.  Thanks Guys and Be Sure To Have A Nice Productive Day!! Ok so I want to know about your successful open house's.  I know a lot of longer tenured agents do not do them.  Ok just curious and why?  I do also want to know about sucessful agents who have had good work on their open house.  What do you find more effective?  Do you give away free cookies, lunch? Do you give away anything and why or why not.  Just an open thought discussion here, I love reading from you guys.

Hope your have a success day today!  I was just curious about the most productive thing when it comes to sales leads.  If you had to choose just one form of communication as your lead generator...which one would you choose.  What source do you get most of your sales leads from...Is it Mailings?
