It is important : Your Credit Report!  You will need to know what your credit report says about you prior to trying to buy a home.  If you have no idea what your credit report is like then I would say a wise thing to do is go send for a copy of your credit report. 

You can look under the Yellow Pages under "Credit Reporting Agencies" to get a copy of your credit report. 

It is your responsibilty to clear up any errors on your credit report to ensure you get Pre-Approved for a home loan.  Your Pre-Approval is based on what the lender is requesting from you and one thing that will be requested is a copy of your credit report.

Many Customers Can Get A Copy Of Their Credit Report For Under $30.00

You should not have to wait no more than a few days for a copy of your credit report. 

A rule of thumb to know is if you have recently been denied credit for some reason then you are entitled to a copy of your credit report at no cost to you.

Your Credit Reporting Agency will report Bill Paying information about you.  If anything is incorrect  you will need to notify the agency to get the problem fixed.

By acting now , you will save yourself time and be happier you checked your report.

MANY CUSTOMERS DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT IS ON THEIR CREDIT REPORT...THEREFORE I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GETTING A COPY OF IT!   By knowing what is incorrect you can fix it.  Make sure that you are going through everything in your credit report VERY CAREFULLY!  Over 70% of people generally have something wrong!! Yes can you believe it! 

OUTRAGEOUS MISTAKES are a common occurance on a Credit Report!   

Give Yourself Plenty Of Time!  Credit Bureas Work Very Slowly In Fixing Problems On Your Credit Report!    Work with the Credit Burea until the problem has been satisfied on your credit report.

Give yourself a month in advance before contacting your lender to clear up any problems on your report.  Once you get things situated discuss your home loan options with your favorite lender. 

So many mistakes on consumers credit reports means it will take you about a month longer than you may anticipated but with careful review the benefits of checking your credit report will be vital in helping you get Pre-Approved for a new home loan!  Good Luck!

It is important to realize that many of you are just starting your journey to buying your first home.  You may get bogged down thinking that you want a home like your friends or family.  It is very important to stay objective oriented, that is being completely focused on one main objective and that is " BUYING A SOLID HOUSE!"
