I am considering turning off an Automated Email Message That My Email Auto Reponder sends every time a customer or someone sends a message.
Some customers like the fact that they "know I got the message" when they send me an email because it sends a friendly little message to them saying thanks for writing me a moment ago, etc.
The Problem.. I don't want to make customers or anyone angry for the one's that may not like the auto-responder. Do you feel that Auto Responder could make them angry? The whole purpose of the auto responder is to ensure I am delivering exceptional service at all times. Sometimes I am not always near my computer or extremely tied up with something.
I've never had any customers complain about it but I have had vendors say it is annoying but it's not designed for the vendors, it's designed for the customers. So I am not sure if I should stop the auto responder service or not.
I feel as though consumers want information now and they gotta have it now... so I don't want to miss out on that opportunity to deliver what they need now.
Once a new customer sends me an email they get an immediate message.... I love that but I don't know about the same customer continuing to recieve the same email message... hymm... kinda divided because I tried to put myself in the consumers shoes and think about what they would prefer.
I also thought about turning off the message during the day and turning it on during the nite. This though would require me to log in and change settings for my email account DAILY which would tie up 10-15 minutes each day which I don't know if that is time well spent or not.
Any Ideas? Do you use AUTO RESPONDERS and How do you feel about them!
