$861.12 TO EMAIL My Customers?

Is anyone else having costly Email Expenses?  $861.12 is just a bit much but I might be forced to pay it if the members of Active Rain don't have any solutions for me...and yes I'm in trouble...EMAIL PROBLEM!  I am needing more Relays to be able to send more email out...BUT I called GoDaddy Tonight about adding 600 more relays for my email sending and they told me the cost is.... GULP $861.12 ....so what can I do to chop down the cost? ANYTHING?  Whew has sending email become expensive or what?  See I have a customized Domain which Is important to me...it is TomDavis@DelawareRealtor.Biz ...all email is sent directly from it and I need to see if anyone knows any cheaper alternatives for me....I need to be able to send out 600 more emails for a total of 850 emails a day.   I am sure someone out here on Active Rain has run into email trouble....trying to send more email but cannot as the relay can only let you send so many before you have to buy more....well now is the time for the business to grow...so do I really just suck it up and pay the $861.12 to send out more email?  Any Help would be great!!

Thanks Realtors!

I've never heard of this kind of problem!  I'd be a little leary about paying it too.  Do you send out 850 emails EVERY day?  What about cutting it down to say 425 on 1 days and 425 the next?  I use 1and1.com for my e-mail server and send as many as I want whenever...BUT I've never tried to send 850 a day.

Tom, why would you need to send 850 emails a day?

We have over 2100 people in our data base. I email them from my web site drip and also set up on my MLS. I do maybe 200 Emails a day. Most are automatic. No costs.

You just reminded me of one reason I didn't use GoDaddy for hosting.

You need a host that will work with you if you intend to market that way.

Tom, try sending the emails in groups of 100, 200, etc. Should work unless GoDaddy counts all emails sent per day.

Mike Setunsky...yes it does count them daily...it doesn't reset the number until 3 Am the next day which is lovely...well I wish their was a better option than to "Purchase more relays".... Mike Jaquish yes I am seeing if anyone has a host out their and who they use to send like 800 emails or more a day???  At the moment I am limited to 250 a day...I have to send out email in batches each day which is more time consuming and I have to keep track of who I sent to...it is easier if I could release the send to all of them at once.... Andy and Kris...yea OUCH! Lol :)  Mary I like the website suggestion I am going to check it out!  Maybe it might be a solution!! :)

Kris my database has grown and it is necessary to keep up...if I send out 250 per day it would take 4 days to email them all vs. just emailing them all at once on 2 days a week.  Thanks Everyone!

Tom,

GoDaddy told me that I needed to buy some cheeseball add-on at a monthly fee to send more than 25 emails in a batch.  "Buh-Bye!"

I am hosted at Steadfast Networks, http://steadfast.net/

They allow up to 1,000 emails in a batch, if you give them a call so they aren't labeled spam.

Not expensive, either, IMO.
